Invitation to tender for evaluative research programme

The 157 Group Modernisation Fund is seeking to commission a piece of evaluative research which will focus on its Shared Services and Collaboration initiative, and provide it with well-grounded insights and information about how to enhance the innovation in the FE sector, in its provision to customers and relationships with partners.

This initiative is managed by the 157 Group and is based on grant funding provided by the Skills Funding Agency. At a time of unprecedented challenges to meet the needs of learners and employers and severe restrictions on public expenditure, it is vitally important that the FE sector, in addition to making one-off efficiency gains also enhances its capacity to innovate, reduces the barriers to doing so and ensures that it is able to exploit at scale the results of exploratory work going on in particular areas.

The closing date for submission of tenders has been extended and we are currently accepting submissions.

It is hoped that work will start in the middle of May 2012.

The interim report will be required at the end of November 2012.

Final completion of the work will be March 2013.

Please contact our Director of Delivery Models and Innovation, Christine Doubleday on [email protected] or 07740284423 if you are interested.
