The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) is the sector‑owned body that aims to accelerate the drive for excellence in the learning and skills sector, building the sector's own capacity to design, commission and deliver improvement and strategic change.

The programme aims to support managers and practitioners to exploit the flexibilities of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) to deliver responsive provision that meets the needs of employers, learners and communities. It includes a consultancy service for QCF action planning, bespoke training to develop practitioners' understanding of the QCF, and resources.
