Becta
In October 2009 we held a joint seminar with Becta at Google's London offices, with contributions from the internationally renowned leader in the field of technology for learning Professor Sugata Mitra. Blackboard, Cisco Google, Becta and 157 Group members explored a future vision for technology in FE Colleges. A joint thinkpiece from this seminar - Pushing the boundaries of technology - Towards a future vision for the innovative use of technology in FE colleges - was published in November 2009 (http://feandskills.becta.org.uk/display.cfm?resID=41334).
Becta also worked with IT colleagues from a number of 157 Group colleges in the development of an Efficiency Indicator for its online benchmarking tool Generator (www.generatorfeandskills.com).The new version which will take account of these developments will be launched in the autumn.
