Outstanding FE Staff recognised in honours list

157 Group Executive Director Lynne Sedgmore has congratulated three outstanding members of staff from 157 member colleges who received Orders of the British Empire in the New Year Honours List.
Claire Wright Personal Assistant to Ioan Morgan Principal of Warwickshire College, Terence Nelson a Security Officer and Farul Miah a Programme Manager both from Leeds College have all been honoured with an MBE in a list that recognises the role that Colleges play in their community.
Sedgmore said:
"I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate those within our membership who were acknowledged by the Government for their contribution to education.'' "These awards pay testament to the remarkable individuals that work across the whole of our colleges. The Orders reflect the passion with which their recipients champion learning for all age groups and acknowledge the significance that further education has for the improvement of society in general."
