Kate joined the 157 Group in March 2009 and as Director of Business Development she takes a strategic lead on 157 Group business partnerships and has responsibility for 157 Group bids and contracts, ensuring the timely and successful achievement of programme deliverables and outcomes. Prior to joining the 157 Group Kate worked extensively within the Further Education sector as a management consultant, supporting a wide variety of training providers across the country. For 7 years she developed and then co-ordinated a regional network of training providers to ensure the provision of demand-led, responsive skills and training. Kate was also an Associate with Ashridge Education and Skills, specifically joining their team in order to deliver the QIA-funded Development Programme for Train to Gain. Kate supported training providers via bespoke consultancy assignments, as well as facilitating groups on consortia effectiveness, strategic sales and marketing, and developing employer responsiveness. Prior to working freelance Kate worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Reading and was involved in developing, managing, monitoring and evaluating a variety of UK and international projects.
