Message from the Chair

I am delighted to take over from my predecessor, Frank McLoughlin CBE, as chair for the 157 Group and proud to lead a group of large and successful colleges. Together we are committed to using our collective influence and expertise to play a powerful transformative role in the FE and skills landscape.

Despite challenging and changing times for FE colleges it is still clear that we play a central role in transforming the lives of individuals and are seen as important hubs within our communities. We listen to the needs of employers, both big and small and play a key role in delivering the education and skills provision that will ensure that UK PLC remains globally competitive.

Ultimately, the 157 Group works across government to influence and shape policy and best practice. We draw upon the expertise of our expert practitioners via our range of effective peer to peer networks. At the core of our ethos is a commitment, dedication and passion for continuous and innovative improvement and to raising the profile and reputation of the FE sector.

If you would like any further information on the 157 Group please do not hesitate to contact us.
