157 Group members are characterized as large high quality colleges who take seriously the roles of leadership and reputation in the sector. We believe that strong and effective colleges can not only have a transformative impact on their local communities but can also make a real difference to the prospects, social and economic well being of the nation.

We seek to work proactively with partners in government, the community and within the sector to impact on policy formulation in the areas of education, skills, economic and community development. Also to facilitate implementation of policy to achieve and sustain excellence for our learners, employers and all who access the college sector.
